Ellis & Watts
Celebrating Over 50 Years of Engineering Excellence
Ellis & Watts began in 1952 as an engineering
and manufacturing company, supplying custom built air conditioning,
purification, refrigeration, and fluid transfer equipment and systems.
Since then, Ellis & Watts has developed a broad capability in
heat transfer systems and environmental control equipment, and has
become a leading supplier in the Aerospace, Military, Industrial,
and Power Generation industries. Parallel to this, Ellis & Watts
has developed a capability in the engineering and manufacturing
of special trailers, vans, relocatable shelters, and ground support
equipment for the electronic and medical industry.
Ellis & Watts' custom mobile trailers are used worldwide in many
diverse industries, such as aerospace, military, TV, and law enforcement.
Ellis & Watts trailers are used for radar, broadcast studios,
data processing centers, communications centers, firearms training
facilities, mobile laboratories, and more. Ellis & Watts' ability
to solve complex heating, cooling, and air circulation problems and
to meet diverse electrical power supply and distribution requirements
has allowed it to compete in a variety of mobile applications. The
resulting equipment is engineered to integrate with or within a larger
system, to provide a fully self-contained mobile enclosure for the
equipment and operating personnel. Using the experience from the thermal
and mobile product lines, in 1981 Ellis & Watts entered the medical
industry, building the first mobile Cat Scanner (CT) customized trailer,
and ultimately, designing, building, and shipping mobile CT trailers,
housing every major CT manufacturer's system. With the experience
in mobile CT and other diagnostic technologies (mammography, digital
x-ray, and ultrasound), plus the RFI/EMI background acquired by almost
forty years of government and defense rated projects, Ellis &
Watts developed the Magnetic Resonance (MR) Mobile Clinic. Currently,
Ellis & Watts MR, CT, PET/CT and mammography mobiles are leading the medical industry in technology
and convenience features.
Ellis & Watts continues the development of mobile, thermal,
and power plant products, in a nearly 200,000 square foot manufacturing
facility in Batavia, Ohio.
